Gordon Brown has had his best moment in over twelve months after Labour won the Glenrothes by-election beating the SNP. No doubt this will be treated as the start of the Brown comeback and the effect of the ‘Brown bounce’ after his handling of the economic crisis. The SNP will be very disappointed with this result whose ‘independence’ message has scared off voters in the midst of the credit crisis.
This result should now mean that Gordon Brown will lead Labour into the next election which is good news for the Tories. The economic woes should and will be pinned directly on Brown at the next election which should ensure a working majority for the Tories.
